I'm trying to decide where to shop for my beauty products. In terms of product selection and customer experience, what's the difference between Sephora and Ulta?

It varies from person to person and it is one's own choice but here is what we can share about pros and cons of both brands:

Sephora :
The associates will prepare fragrance or skin care samples upon request, with a limit of two or three for each visit. They often have a larger assortment of any specific premium brand than Ulta. However, they are confined to premium products, and while Sephora has a brand, it is still more expensive than L'Oreal.

Ulta:
It is similar to a beauty mall. They carry products at all price tiers, from low-end drugstore items to luxury brands like Nars. They have a greater assortment of bath and body products than Sephora.

However, their incentive system is superior because it comes in the form of shop credit that can be spent for anything, and there is always a coupon available.
