Seat Leon Gear Lever Error Ignored Under Goodwill Warranty and Dashcam Stolen
Shortly after the warranty expired, my fully serviced Seat Leon, with only 50,000 km, displayed a "Gear Lever Error" warning. It’s surprising to encounter such an issue when even the transmission oil hasn’t been changed yet. Upon research, I discovered this is a chronic problem in vehicles of the same group sold worldwide. I requested the manufacturer to repair it under a goodwill warranty, but they refused, claiming the car was over three years old. However, I know of 5–6-year-old cars of the same brand with the same issue that were repaired free under a goodwill warranty. Neither Doğuş nor the VAG group, which I trusted for their professionalism, could clarify the goodwill warranty conditions. Both customer relations and Seat service staff seem unaware of this. It appears their approach is not based on professionalism but favoritism. We choose these brands, paying more for their extensive service network and reliability, including higher maintenance costs than other brands. Yet, when an issue arises, you are left alone. Additionally, when I picked up my car after maintenance, a packaged dashcam from my trunk was missing. The service staff’s initial response was, “There’s no camera to see if it was here.” How can this be an authorized service? Does Doğuş, a long-established company, simply wash its hands of such matters? The customer service staff only repeat the same answers like a broken record, showing zero regard for customer satisfaction. I deeply regret buying a car from this group and trusting Doğuş with its maintenance. Anyone considering these brands should weigh their post-sale treatment for the sake of their peace of mind.
The sections related to Vision, Mission, and Strategy on Doğuş Otomotiv's official website were just written for the sake of it. I won't even mention the good faith guarantee; no one was interested in the camera that went missing from the car I handed over. They literally swept it under the rug. Having the car serviced at Doğuş turned out to be very expensive for me. With this behavior, they lost a "loyal customer." It seems that factories in Germany aren't closing for no reason. I will sell the vehicle as soon as possible. I will also keep telling those around me what will happen if they buy a car from Doğuş.
