Reface asks for all my photos, how can I protect my privacy?

Only upload photos you are comfortable sharing, because Reface states that it may process biometric data such as facial geometry, voice prints, and uploaded images with your consent.

The company also says shared or public content may lose normal privacy protections.

Protect yourself by denying unnecessary permissions, avoiding uploads of children, IDs, or sensitive backgrounds, and deleting generated content after use.

Reface says uploaded photos are deleted within 24–48 hours in some services, but saved creations may remain until you remove them or close your account.

For stronger privacy, use temporary photos, remove metadata before uploading, and regularly review app permissions on your device.

You can also request data deletion directly through the app or by contacting Reface support.

This is the information we have, but if you have more insights from your experience, please share in the comments.
