I Deleted My PlantIn Account Within the Trial, Yet I’m Still Worried About My Data
I downloaded the PlantIn app from the Google Play Store on October 1, 2024, and signed up for the free 3-day trial. I read the terms clearly, which stated that I could cancel and delete my account within the trial period—specifically within the last 24 hours of the trial. I followed those instructions exactly and deleted my account via the “Delete My Account” section in the app settings at 11:29 PM the same day.
Despite not subscribing or agreeing to any paid services, I’m still uneasy because I found no active subscriptions under my Google Play account, and I’m unsure what data, if any, is being kept or shared by PlantIn. I explicitly do not give my consent for any of my personal data to be stored or shared. I have no interest in using the application, and I do not want to be charged for a service I never intended to use beyond the trial.
PlantIn must confirm that my account and all related data have been permanently deleted, and that I will not be charged now or in the future. Please take this complaint seriously and provide a formal response assuring full cancellation and data privacy compliance.
