Unauthorized Opodo Prime Annual Charge After Flight Booking
I purchased a ticket through Opodo Prime for a Paris–Istanbul flight scheduled for July 15. Other than purchasing that ticket, I never gave any approval, permission, or consent to join a membership. However, on June 3, 2026, I discovered that an additional charge of €100 ($117) had been made to my card. My card statement lists the transaction as "Opodo Prime Annual Barcelona," even though I never authorized this charge.
After discovering the unauthorized charge, I tried to contact the company, but I could not find a valid email address or reach anyone by phone. Despite calling multiple times, no one answered, and I never received a response. I also contacted Opodo through the website's Help section, but there is no option for membership or subscription billing. The only available options relate to flight bookings, and I cannot view the membership fee I was charged or find any invoice, receipt, or membership details associated with it.
I am currently working with my bank to file a dispute for this unauthorized transaction. At the same time, I have been trying to cancel any Opodo Prime membership that may be linked to my account, but the website provides no clear information about an active membership or any way to cancel it. Having €100 charged to my card without my consent while being unable to contact the company has seriously damaged my trust and caused significant frustration.
I request an immediate and full refund of the €100 that was charged to my card without my authorization. I also demand that any Opodo Prime or similar memberships or subscriptions associated with my account be permanently canceled and that no future automatic or unauthorized charges be made to my card.
