Unexpected OkCupid Verification Codes Sent to My Phone
Today, I started receiving verification code text messages from Sinch Verify and OkCupid on my Türk Telekom mobile number without my knowledge or permission. I did not perform any actions on these platforms, create any accounts, or enter my phone number anywhere to request verification codes.
Receiving these security codes despite never initiating any request makes me concerned that my phone number may be being used without my authorization. I request that my Türk Telekom mobile line be thoroughly reviewed for any potential security issues, that any unauthorized use of my phone number by third parties or organizations be prevented, and, if necessary, that the relevant platforms be contacted to cancel any fraudulent or unauthorized accounts associated with my number.
I also request to be informed about the outcome of this matter and ask that all necessary measures be taken to prevent similar verification messages from being sent to my phone number in the future.
