OkCupid Permanently Banned My Account Without Warning

My OkCupid account, which I had actively used for more than 10 years, was suddenly closed on April 6, 2026, at approximately 9:37 p.m. through the mobile app without any specific reason being provided. I immediately lost access to my account and later received only an automated email stating that my account had been closed for violating the platform's policies. However, the email did not explain which rule I had allegedly violated or provide any details about the decision.

Throughout the years, I used OkCupid respectfully and in full compliance with the platform's rules. I never harassed, insulted, or behaved aggressively toward other users. The photos on my profile had been the same for several years, had been approved multiple times, and had never caused any issues. Despite never receiving a warning, restriction, or previous enforcement action, my account was permanently closed without any explanation.

Over the years, I also purchased paid subscriptions on this account from time to time. After the ban, I contacted OkCupid's customer support repeatedly, asking them to explain the reason for the decision and to have the case reviewed by a human in case the action had been triggered by an automated system. Instead of providing any specific information about an alleged violation, I received only generic responses stating that the ban would remain in place.

At this point, I am not necessarily asking for my account to be reinstated. However, I request that my "banned" status across OkCupid and any related platforms or databases be reviewed by a human, rather than relying solely on automated enforcement. I also request a clear, detailed, and written explanation identifying the specific rule I allegedly violated and how I violated it. Permanent account bans issued without transparency or meaningful explanation are unfair, especially for long-time users who have used the platform respectfully for many years, and the lack of due process has left me feeling completely defenseless.
