Microsoft Copilot Caused Data Loss and Offered No Real Recovery Help

Because of a command Microsoft Copilot gave me, all the files on my desktop disappeared. After that, instead of recommending a real data recovery program, it only suggested a basic file-finding tool.

When I asked, “Why did you give me the wrong command?” it responded with an insincere-sounding apology. One to two years of my work is gone. My desktop used to be full, and now only my folders remain. I expect you to fix this somehow; otherwise, I’m ready to stop using Copilot and share what happened online.
