LG TV Update Broke Input Settings and They’re Asking Me to Pay for Their Mistake
After the latest software update on my LG TV, the input settings became completely messed up. I reached out to customer service hoping for a quick fix, but instead I was told to either reset the TV—which should be a last resort—or pay for a technician to come and fix it.
Why should I pay a ₺ service fee for an issue caused by LG’s own software update? This is clearly not a user error. It’s a problem introduced by their development team, and it should be their responsibility to fix it—preferably with a patch or firmware correction, not by shifting the burden to the customer.
I’m done with LG. I’ll be replacing my TVs soon, and I won’t be looking back. This experience was a wake-up call. LG, fix this bug with an official update and stop charging customers for your own technical faults.
