I've noticed that Konami has shifted its focus away from game development. Why does Konami want to make games anymore?

During their trading time, companies may change their policies or goals in time. Konami now prioritizes mobile games like Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links and Pachinko machines over AAA games like Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, and Castlevania. This decision is mostly cost-effective and profitable. AAA games require large investments and take a long time to develop, but they may earn less than mobile games.

Mobile games like Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links are cheaper to make, have higher profit margins, and allow players to spend continuously. Pachinko machines are cheap to make but profitable.

Konami's strategy is to invest in cheaper and more profitable mobile games and Pachinko machines instead of AAA console and PC games. It’s reported that despite a revenue drop, this shift has increased profits.

The direction of the company's future lies in the hands of developers and company officials, who will shape it in alignment with their goals and plans. At present, the situation remains as described.
