HP Doesn't Replace The Faulty Laptop. I Am Completely Disappointed
I purchased the HP Victus Gaming Laptop in April 2023. The operating system, Windows 11, and all drivers are fully updated. However, from the very first day, I've encountered issues when trying to run games on the computer. The problem goes like this: Right after launching a game, a loading screen appears, but shortly after, the screen reverts to the desktop with the game window minimized. When I attempt to maximize the window, it remains minimized and unresponsive. I reported this problem to HP about a week after purchasing the laptop. A customer service representative remotely accessed my computer, witnessed the issue, and reinstalled Windows 11 from scratch, but this didn't resolve the problem. Subsequent tests revealed a CPU overheating issue. They informed me that they would file a report with HP to specify the problem and recommend that the product either be replaced or the purchase price refunded, according to my choice, due to the error. Following their advice, I returned the laptop to the company with the report. Surprisingly, after testing the PC, they informed me that no error was found and rejected my request for a replacement or refund. I received my laptop without any resolution. Over the past two months, I had limited time to install and play games. Last week, I installed two of my favorite games, NBA 2K23 and PES 2016, hoping to play them without any issues. However, the same problem recurred. You launch the game, but within 5-10 seconds, you're back at the desktop with the game window minimized. I contacted customer relations again to report the problem. They remotely accessed my computer once more, observed the issue, and once again identified the CPU overheating issue. I mentioned that this same problem was identified as early as June. However, they informed me that their hands were tied because the distributor company, HP, had not agreed to replace the product or issue a refund. Their only option now was to send the product for repair. I expressed my reluctance to have a brand-new product disassembled for repair purposes and insisted on a replacement since the problem had been reported within 10 days of purchase, with no solution in sight. They promised to contact a product representative to discuss my issue and said they would call me back after that. I am earnestly seeking attention to my problem and urgently requesting a replacement for this persistently faulty product.
