Hint App Charged Me for a Subscription After a One-Time $1 Purchase

On May 25, I noticed an unauthorized subscription charge of $29.99 from Hint App, processed through my PayPal account, after using Hint via Facebook. I only agreed to purchase a single picture for $1.00 on Facebook and at no point did I consent to any ongoing subscription, Tarot service, or similar recurring product. Before the $29.99 charge appeared, two separate $0.50 charges were processed, and then suddenly the $29.99 subscription fee was taken. I have a screenshot clearly showing the agreed purchase for $1.00, which I submitted in my dispute. Hint’s own website also indicates a no‑charge trial policy, which makes this unexpected charge even more unacceptable. As soon as I saw the $29.99 charge, I immediately canceled the subscription with Hint. I contacted PayPal, and they initially refunded the amount, but then they charged me again, stating there was no proof that I had not subscribed. I do not subscribe to Tarot websites or similar services, and I only intended to make a one‑time $1.00 purchase. Despite sharing the screenshot and details, I have not received any response from Hint. I request an immediate full refund of the $29.99 unauthorized subscription fee, the cancellation and permanent removal of any subscription associated with my account, and a written confirmation that no further charges will be made without my explicit consent.
