Grand Theft Auto flagged my mods as cheats and blocked me, how can I restore online access?

If your mods were flagged as cheats by Grand Theft Auto and you were banned from going online, check Rockstar's email or Social Club messages to see if you were temporarily or permanently banned.

Rockstar doesn't allow mods at all in GTA Online, so even mods for single-player games can get you banned if they are found in online games.

To make an appeal, go to Rockstar Support and fill out a ticket under "Banned or Suspended Accounts." If the mod was only used in single-player, be sure to explain what happened.

But Rockstar rarely lifts bans, so be ready for the possibility that you will be denied.

If you can get back in, delete all mods by restarting the game or using Steam or Rockstar Launcher to check the files.

When you install GTA Online for the first time, make sure it's clean, and don't run the game with any mod files on it.
