On February 12, 2026, at around 7:17 a.m., I created an account on GoDaddy and purchased the following services: a .com domain registration, Full Domain Protection, Gen 4 VPS Linux (2 CPU, 2-year plan), Standard SSL, and Website Security Standard (2-year plan). I completed the payment using my Yapı Kredi Bank card in the total amount of $504. After the payment, my account was active, and I completed my order without being asked for any identity verification.
Approximately one hour after the payment, my account was closed without any explanation, and only after the closure was I asked to provide identity documents. GoDaddy did not request identification during registration or at the payment stage, but after completing the transaction and collecting my payment, the company closed my account and began requesting documents, while at the same time refusing to cancel my order. None of the agreements, emails, or additional terms provided to me stated that my account would be closed or that my order would not be canceled if I declined to provide identification.
When I contacted customer service, they repeatedly demanded my ID information but refused to cancel my order. My account remains closed, and I cannot access the high-value services I paid for. Additionally, I have serious concerns about the security of my card information and personal data during this process.
I request the immediate cancellation of my order, a full refund of the $504 payment, and the deletion of my card details and all personal data from your systems. I expect my grievance to be resolved urgently.
