Garanti BBVA Forced Home Insurance Renewal
I took out a home loan with a 5-year term, and during the first year, I was told that the Evim Garantide Plus home insurance and DASK were mandatory. While I understand that DASK is compulsory in the second year, I was surprised to find that the home insurance, despite not renting the property to anyone else, was automatically renewed and billed to my credit card by Eureko Insurance. Despite submitting a cancellation request online, I was directed to contact the branch, which insisted that it was mandatory. I understand that home contents insurance is optional. Due to the lack of resolution and the handling of my issue, I am considering canceling my credit card, closing my advance account, and transferring all company accounts and employee salaries to another bank. If no solution is provided and the process remains obstructive, I will take these steps.
