Garanti BBVA Branch Refused Service And Security Misconduct
On the evening of November 27, around 17:00, I went to the Garanti BBVA Küçüksu Caddesi branch to open an account. Although working hours had not yet ended and I had already taken a queue number, the security guard told me that this was a private bank, that no one could say anything, and that they would not process my request. Hearing statements such as “It’s a Spanish bank, no one can say anything, complain to whoever you want” both surprised and seriously disturbed me. Even though I like Spain and Spanish people, this uncontrolled and arbitrary behavior gave the impression that the operations there were irregular and unchecked, which left me upset. Even if they truly could not process the transaction, I would have expected a polite explanation with a proper reason; instead, what I was told made the place feel completely unregulated. I expect Garanti BBVA to provide a written or verbal explanation regarding this incident, to apologize for the disrespect I experienced, and to resolve my grievance. I also request that the necessary investigation be initiated regarding the security guard in question and that steps be taken to ensure that similar situations do not happen to other customers.
