Garanti Bank Did Not Give Me the Bonus for Pension Transfer
The Garanti Bank Retirement Pension Transfer Promotion Campaign misleads people and fails to fulfill its campaign commitments properly. In this regard, Garanti Bank is once again causing hardship for retirees. On 26/04/2025, I applied through the mobile app to transfer my pension to Garanti Bank. To meet the campaign requirements, I obtained a credit card and spent over ₺1,000 (on April 28, 2025) before the April 30 deadline. I then called customer service 5–6 times to ask when the cash and Bonus would be deposited into my account and card. The campaign conditions are clearly outlined on Garanti Bank’s official website, and I’ve attached a visual of the form. A representative confirmed that I had fulfilled the requirements and that the cash promotion would be deposited into my account and the Bonus loaded to my card within 3 business days of receiving the first pension payment. Since my pension did not process in time for May 1, I received my salary on June 1 and the cash promotion on June 2. Despite speaking with several representatives about the credit card Bonus, I was told the campaign was outdated, its conditions had changed, and I now needed to spend an additional ₺2,000. In short, I was repeatedly misled and never received the Bonus. I want to inform all retirees considering Garanti Bank’s promotion that I had to call at least 7–8 times and still got no clear result. I’ve completed pension transfers with two other banks in the past without any problems.
