FamPay UPI Transfer Deducted Money but Receiver Did Not Get Funds
After the transfer, I received a message stating: “You paid ₹1,738 to TIYANA SHA*** with transaction ID FMPIB4879916451. Your FamPay account balance is ₹0.06.” However, I later learned that the recipient’s account is blocked, and my friend did not receive the money in either Paytm or FamPay, even though the full amount has been deducted from my balance.
I use FamPay with an Aadhaar-based setup rather than a linked bank account, so the ₹1,738 is now stuck, and my remaining balance shows only ₹0.06. I contacted the FamPay support number provided in the message, but I was not given a clear explanation or process for resolving this issue or recovering my funds, despite the fact that this was a mistaken transfer and the recipient has not received or used the money.
I request that FamPay urgently investigate this transaction (ID: FMPIB4879916451), confirm the exact status of the funds, and immediately return ₹1,738 to my FamPay account. I expect a prompt refund of the debited amount, along with a clear written explanation of why this issue occurred and how similar problems will be prevented in the future.
