I Can’t Verify My Identity on Etsy Despite Submitting Correct Documents

I attempted to open a seller account on Etsy to start selling, but I’ve been stuck in the identity verification stage for over two weeks now—despite uploading all the correct documents. First, I uploaded my national ID, but it didn’t work. Then I tried using my driver’s license. The system rejected it once and now says “your identity will be verified within 1–3 business days.” That message has been sitting there for two weeks, with zero progress or updates.
Everything I entered was accurate, yet I’m completely stuck. Etsy’s support hasn’t helped, and there is no clear explanation for what went wrong. How can a global platform have such a broken and unclear verification system?
I’m now questioning whether I should even move forward with Etsy. I’ve invested time and effort preparing my listings, only to be blocked by a buggy system and no real customer support. I expect Etsy to fix this issue immediately and verify my identity so I can start selling—like I should’ve been able to days ago.
