eFootball AI Feels Scripted and Forces Players to Spend Money

May 10 7:32 PM

I believe that the artificial intelligence in Konami’s eFootball game on the PlayStation 5 platform completely controls the gameplay. It feels as though match results are predetermined, with the game deciding whenever it wants to let players win or lose. This creates the impression of a system that intentionally pushes players to make transfers and spend more money.

So far, I have spent nearly $225 of real money on the game, yet I still feel that the outcome of matches is influenced more by the game’s intervention than by my actual skill. Because of the artificial intelligence system, all enjoyment I once had from the game has disappeared. The game constantly receives updates, but the same gameplay logic remains unchanged, which now makes the game feel extremely frustrating and unreasonable to me.

I request that Konami review eFootball’s current artificial intelligence and match balance system, fix this structure that appears to pressure players into spending money, and, if possible, bring the game back to the more fair and enjoyable gameplay style that existed during the PES 2021 era.
