I purchased two Duolingo English Test attempts, paying a total of ₺5700 including taxes. During my first test, the system falsely flagged me for using a different keyboard and mouse, which led to my test being canceled. In reality, I did not change any devices. I anticipated such technical false detections and therefore purchased two attempts, but now, despite this precaution, my entire account has been unfairly banned, and my second test attempt has been revoked as well.
I immediately submitted an appeal explaining that no unauthorized devices were used, but I was told that the review process would take up to four days. Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of waiting this long, as I urgently need my test results. I contacted live support, but they told me they cannot speed up the process, leaving me without any timely solution.
This situation has caused me significant financial loss and emotional distress. I paid a considerable amount for these tests and followed all the rules, yet I was denied my rightful test attempt. I believe that Duolingo’s automated systems made an error in flagging my activity, and I should not be penalized for a technical fault on their side.
I urgently request that my account ban be lifted immediately and my second test attempt be reinstated without further delay. I also expect a fair review of my first test and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
Please resolve this issue quickly and ensure that users who follow the rules are not unfairly penalized by system errors.
