On September 7, 2025, I purchased a DeWalt DCD1007 drill from kymakine. When I received the product and opened the carrying case, I noticed impact damage between the numbers 3 and 5 on the gear selector area of the chuck. When I contacted the seller, I was informed that this issue occurs in all units of this model, and that the main cause is the way the drill is secured inside the box. While the box is closed, the handle applies pressure on the drill, which causes this damage. This pressure continues during transportation and storage, resulting in damage to the product.

Regarding this issue, I spoke with Mr. T* at the seller’s company, who stated that he personally experienced the same problem and that other sellers have also received similar complaints. When I contacted several other companies, they confirmed that they were also sending these products back for returns or replacements due to this engineering flaw. It is clear that this issue is entirely caused by a packaging design defect and is therefore the responsibility of DeWalt.

My product is covered by a 3-year warranty, and my invoice number is DF02025000002846. As a consumer who purchased a brand-new product, I expect DeWalt to resolve this issue. My request is a replacement with a damage-free and problem-free unit. If necessary, I have already prepared an application for the Consumer Arbitration Board, and I am awaiting a positive response from DeWalt.
