Colgate Max White Toothpaste Caused a Canker Sore That Won’t Go Away

I purchased a 50 ml tube of Colgate Max White toothpaste from a BİM store. The packaging says “Maximum Whitening” and “Crystal Mint Freshness.” Shortly after I started using the toothpaste on July 8, 2026, I developed a canker sore approximately half a centimeter in size inside my mouth, and it is still present. I also noticed an increase in tartar buildup after I started using this product. Since I had never experienced this problem before, I have started to wonder whether it could be related to the toothpaste I was using.

I have not seen a doctor or dentist about the issue so far, but the problem is causing discomfort and has also made me concerned about the ingredients in the product. In particular, I would expect the brand to be more careful about using alternative ingredients that pose less potential risk to consumers' health instead of substances such as SLES and SLS.

I request that Colgate conduct a detailed review of this product's ingredients, provide consumers with clearer and more transparent information about potential side effects such as canker sores and tartar buildup, and make any necessary formula updates to prevent similar problems from affecting other consumers.
