I experienced a color distortion in the “Omoda” logo light projected onto the ground from the underside of the mirrors on my Chery Omoda 5. Normally, this lighting appears white on both sides, but the right side started turning purple. Some time after this issue appeared, my wife accidentally scraped the rear right door of the vehicle. However, this scrape occurred after the lighting malfunction had already started.

When I went to an authorized Chery service center regarding the lighting issue, the service initially stated that this malfunction could not be related to the accident. However, when they contacted an engineer remotely to obtain warranty approval and explained the situation, the engineer—using reasoning I cannot understand—linked the lighting malfunction to the door scrape. I later contacted Chery Turkey directly and learned that they received the same response from the engineer.

I would like to clearly emphasize that this lighting defect existed before the door scrape and is not related to the minor damage on the rear right door. Despite this, the issue was evaluated as user error and was attempted to be excluded from warranty coverage, which has caused me serious frustration and hardship. I request that this color change and lighting defect be evaluated under warranty and that the necessary repair be carried out free of charge.

Hello, there has been no response regarding my issue. I think this matter should not be handled by the engineer communicating in Turkey, but rather by the main headquarters, SIO, CEO, or whoever is appropriate—you should now forward it to them.

The LED light on the right side‑view mirror of my Chery Omoda 5, which projects the word “Omoda” onto the ground, failed on its own despite no impact or contact, and instead of glowing white it started glowing purple. This problem appeared before the incident where the vehicle scraped against a wall. Later, because we scraped the lower part of the right rear door against the wall, I went to the authorized Özpam Chery service center in Denizli Center to have the door inspected. I also reported the LED fault on the mirror to the service at the same time. The service said they consulted an engineer remotely, and the engineer linked this fault to the door‑scraping event. However, they stated that the mirror must be replaced entirely even though there is no scratch, contact, or impact on it, and that this replacement is outside the warranty coverage. This LED fault existed before the door friction, and there is no physical connection between the scraped area and the mirror. I do not accept that the defect is being treated as user error and excluded from warranty. I also reported the situation to Chery Turkey, but received no positive response; the authorized service, despite being unable to technically explain the fault, still has not provided a solution. I did not receive a clear answer in my call either. I request that this LED defect on the vehicle’s mirror be regarded as a manufacturing or product issue, not user‑induced, and that the right side‑view mirror be repaired or replaced under warranty at no cost to me.
