CCleaner uninstall messed up shortcuts — how can I undo it?

When CCleaner is uninstalled, shortcuts can break if related registry entries or start menu links were removed during a cleanup.

The quickest fix is to reinstall the affected programs, which recreates correct shortcuts automatically.

If desktop or Start Menu shortcuts are missing but apps still work, you can manually recreate shortcuts by locating the original .exe file, right-clicking it, and choosing “Create shortcut.”

For multiple broken system shortcuts, using Windows System Restore to roll back to a point before CCleaner was used is often the most reliable solution.

If CCleaner deleted shared paths, avoid running its registry cleaner again, as it can repeat the issue.
