I purchased a Bosch WTH22200TR 0119 dryer on 26.11.2024, with a 3‑year warranty. On 07.01.2026, the door gasket of the dryer tore off while opening the door, as the gasket stuck and ripped. This happened during normal use in my home. When I contacted the Bosch authorized service in İstanbul Kasımpaşa, they told me that this problem is not covered by the warranty. They stated that the door gasket cannot be changed alone, that the entire door must be replaced, and that this would be done only for a fee of ₺7,500. For a product with a 3‑year warranty, I find it unacceptable that the very first malfunction within about 1 year is immediately declared user error and left out of warranty coverage. Almost all electronic appliances in my home were Bosch, but after this experience my trust in the Bosch brand has been seriously shaken. I am not focused on the money, but if you promise a 3‑year warranty, I do not accept my first malfunction within 1 year being declared user fault. I would really like someone from Bosch to explain to me by what kind of incorrect use a door gasket could possibly be torn just by opening the door. I am addressing Bosch officials through this complaint: if this issue is not resolved fairly, I will initiate legal proceedings with my lawyer and pursue my rights to the very end. From now on, I will not buy Bosch products again, and I advise anyone reading this to think twice before choosing Bosch, because in my opinion the reliability of the Bosch brand has been seriously damaged. I request that the door gasket problem of my Bosch WTH22200TR 0119 dryer be re‑evaluated, that it be covered under warranty, and that the necessary repair or replacement be carried out without charge, and that I be informed in writing why this situation has been considered user error so far.
