On 29.05.2023, I purchased a Bosch Unlimited 8 upright vacuum cleaner (BCS8214PRQ/02 0210) from Mediamarkt. I have been using this product about once a week, strictly following the user manual and without leaving it on overcharge. Despite this careful and relatively infrequent use, the battery completely failed in less than 30 months, which is not normal for a product in this price range. At the moment, the vacuum charges from the lowest level to full in just 4 minutes, and in Auto mode (medium power), the battery is completely drained within 3 minutes. This clearly shows that the battery has lost its function and the product cannot be used as intended. I contacted Bosch customer support on 05.01.2026 regarding this issue. Instead of offering a solution, they only sent me a price list for a replacement battery and then called to say that the product has only 2 years of warranty and that they have nothing to do with it. I find it unacceptable that a product marketed with a strong battery and brand reputation should have its battery fail in such a short time, and that the only option offered to the customer is to purchase an expensive new battery. I request that my battery problem be resolved in a customer-oriented and fair manner, and that a concrete solution, such as free battery replacement or a reasonable goodwill offer, be provided so that I do not incur additional high costs for a product I have already paid a significant amount for.
