Complete Removal via Windows Settings
Open Start → Settings → Apps.
Find Avast Antivirus and click Uninstall.
Confirm and follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, select Uninstall again and wait for completion.
Restart your computer afterward.
If Uninstallation Fails
Sometimes Avast blocks its own removal, showing “Protection will be disabled.” In that case:
Download the official Avast Clear tool from the Avast website.
Restart your PC in Safe Mode.
Run the tool as an administrator and choose the Avast installation folder.
After it finishes, restart your device.
After Removal
Check that no Avast processes remain in Task Manager or Services.
Ensure Windows Defender or another antivirus is active to keep your system protected.
If Avast refuses to uninstall, blocks your actions, or reactivates itself, describe your case on Xolvie — your complaint will help address the issue and protect other users.
