Unfair Membership Fee For My Credit Card

On 12.09.25, a deduction of ₺1,000 was made from my Akbank credit card with a ₺2,000 limit under the name “membership fee.” I would like to state that this amount, which is equivalent to half of my card limit, is unjust and unacceptable. Pursuant to Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers, credit card membership fees are legally considered unfair terms and must be refunded. Court rulings are also in this direction. My request: I demand the immediate refund of the ₺1,000 membership fee that was deducted and that the necessary measures be taken to prevent such grievances from recurring. Otherwise, I will file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board.
