Akbank Violated Campaign Terms and Withheld My Chip-Para Reward!
Hello, In the past months, I participated in Akbank's campaign "750 TL Chip-Para for Your Clothing, Electronics, and Cosmetics Shopping!" As part of the campaign, I made a purchase, and the chip money was credited to my card. However, I had to return the item later, and the chip money was deducted. So far, there’s no issue. However, when I read the terms and conditions, I didn’t see any rule stating that I wouldn’t be able to rejoin the campaign with a new purchase after a return. So, I made another purchase to benefit from the campaign again. Yet, I didn’t receive the Chip-Para after my second purchase. In the campaign terms (which I have attached), there is no clause explicitly stating that I cannot participate again after a return. Because of this, I submitted two support requests asking on what basis I was excluded from the campaign. However, my complaints were dismissed with a generic response stating that the chip money was deducted due to the return—indicating that my concerns were not properly read or understood. My issue is not about the deduction of the reward after the return, but rather that I was not included in the campaign despite making another eligible purchase, even though the terms state that I should have been. I have little faith that the authorities will properly read and understand my complaint. However, I still want to bring this to attention—Akbank may arbitrarily withhold the rewards you rightfully earn by violating its own campaign terms.
