Akbank Axess Chip Para Campaign Not Honored
I applied for an Akbank Axess credit card by phone on 09.10.2025. During the application, the customer representative informed me that there was a special campaign for this card and guaranteed that each time my total spending—completed even in separate transactions—reached ₺3,000, I would receive ₺800 chip-money, up to a total of ₺8,000. Trusting this information, I started using the card. Although I have spent a total of ₺19,000 so far, no chip-money has been credited to my account. I called customer service many times, records were created, but despite a long wait, I received no response. When I called again later, I was told that the campaign had been “unsuccessful,” yet no explanation was provided, and they could not access the details of my record. If the commitments given over the phone by your own customer representative do not bind Akbank, then as customers we do not know whom we are supposed to trust. I request that Akbank stand behind the promises made by its representative, fully apply the campaign conditions communicated to me during the application, and credit all chip-money amounts that were promised. Otherwise, I will apply to the Consumer Arbitration Board to pursue my rights legally, and I will share this grievance on social media to inform other customers experiencing similar issues. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly without further delay and in a way that corrects my grievance.
