WhatsApp Not Receiving Verification Code

I have been unable to receive the WhatsApp verification code on my Samsung Galaxy A14 for about one week and therefore cannot access my WhatsApp account. Each time I try to log in and request the SMS verification code, no message is delivered to my number. I am in Uganda and I do not know any local WhatsApp support number, so I have not been able to reach them directly about this issue. My mobile line is active and can receive other SMS messages. I kindly request that my situation be checked and that I am clearly informed why my number is not receiving the WhatsApp verification code and what needs to be done so that I can successfully verify and use my WhatsApp account again.
