My Volvo V40 Caught Fire, and It's Been Stuck in Service for Three Months

July 3 6:00 PM

On 03/30/2026, flames came out from the body of my Volvo V40, and as a result, the vehicle was towed to an authorized service center in Bodrum, Muğla. All periodic maintenance for my vehicle has always been done on time and exclusively at original authorized service centers up until now. Despite this, this fire has seriously concerned us, both in terms of safety and vehicle quality.
The vehicle has been sitting at the service center for about three months now, since March 30th. Every time we ask the authorized service center, we're only told that spare parts aren't available and that they're trying to source them, with no clear date or explanation given. Since we haven't been able to use our vehicle throughout this process, our daily lives and our work have been seriously disrupted, and we're experiencing real hardship.
I am requesting that Volvo urgently source the necessary spare parts for my vehicle and complete the repair immediately, and that this long-lasting hardship we've experienced be clearly explained to us in writing. If the repair process is going to take even longer, I expect an appropriate replacement vehicle to be provided to me until the process is completed.
