My Volkswagen Polo Had Serious Faults on the Highway

On March 28, 2025, I received my brand new 2024 model Polo (license plate 34 Z 20**) from Volkswagen dealership. Within the first month, the vehicle started showing a tire pressure warning. I repeatedly went to gas stations to check, but there was never any actual issue. Then, while on a long trip and with only 5,000 km on the car, all the warning lights suddenly came on, and the car began signaling errors. I was far from home, on the highway in the middle of the night, returning from another city due to the holiday, with my two small children in the back seat. I panicked—my greatest fear was being stranded on the highway with two young kids or, even worse, getting into an accident. All the warning lights, including ABS, were flashing, and alerts kept appearing on the screen. I called Volkswagen 24/7 support line, followed all instructions, but the issue wasn’t resolved. They offered to send a tow truck but said that if the car was still drivable, I could try to reach the nearest service center. Crying and terrified, I drove for five hours, constantly thinking, “What if something happens to me or my kids?” On June 12, 2025, I finally reached the D**** O** service center near my home. They asked me to leave the vehicle, said it would be fixed with a software update, and promised I could collect it the next day. On June 13, I received a message saying the repair was complete. However, when I went to collect the car on June 14, the same warning lights were on, and they said they couldn’t deliver the vehicle and it needed to stay in the service center longer. Already distressed, this made things worse. Commuting to work and managing my kids’ school routine became very difficult. I requested a replacement vehicle, and they provided one. But I’m heartbroken and afraid to drive the Volkswagen I bought with years of savings and so much excitement. I respectfully request a vehicle replacement to resolve this situation. Maybe what I paid doesn’t mean much to others, but for me, it was the result of ten years of saving. After such a frightening and disappointing experience, I no longer want to drive this car with my children.

Hello,

I picked up my car, which has been at your service for 1 month, from your Doğuş service on 12.07.2025. Three weeks later, I was told that my car had been repaired, and on 12.07.2025, I picked up my car from the service. After waiting for 1 hour at the service, I returned the replacement vehicle and received my own car. Unfortunately, my disappointment continued here as well. They delivered my car with a month’s worth of dust on it. In fact, before bringing the car to the service (because it got very dusty on the long road), I had cleaned it inside and out just a few hours earlier. Also, HGS (toll) passes were made. Let’s say it was taken out for a test drive. On 07.07.2025, there was another HGS pass, and in the document given to me, it says test drives were done on 04.07.2025 and 05.07.2025. Additionally, while transferring my belongings in the car, my children helped, and when I got home, I found a wedding invitation in the car. When you look at the dates, these are dates when my car was at the service. Are you kidding me! What a disgrace. You charged me for every penny of the HGS passes for the replacement car. I returned it with more fuel than when I received it. As for my own car’s HGS passes and the fuel used, when you look at the kilometers when I dropped off and picked up the car, the mileage was 5317 km when I left it and 5387 km when I picked it up, so there is a 70 km difference. How many times was this car taken out for a test drive? For what purpose was it used? Was the difference in fuel range between when I dropped off and picked up the car only due to the test drive? On the paper you gave me, it says 38 km. Did it really take 3 weeks for the part to arrive? After all the inconvenience I experienced, going through all this as well shows how much you value your customers. You are a disappointment! Despite everything, you did nothing to make up for it, and what I experienced when picking up my car was the last straw!

There has been no progress regarding my complaint, and on top of that, the delivery process got even worse. It made me say 'shame on you.'
