I had initially booked a United Airlines flight for a business meeting, but now I need to change it to another city due to a change in the meeting location. How can I modify my reservation accordingly?

If you have more than a day before your trip, you may be able to change your reservation without penalty. For eligible reservations, visit united.com or use their mobile app and select "Change flight".

Even with award tickets, you can change your travel plans without penalty. This flexibility applies to domestic and international flights originating in the U.S., including most United Economy and all premium cabin tickets. Only the fare difference will be due if your new flight costs more.

Basic Economy tickets are non-changeable. You will be notified if your ticket cannot be changed when you click "Change flight". You can go to the app or their website to see the Flight Changes page where all your options will be at your disposal.

If you booked your flight through a travel agent or other third party, you may be able to change it with United, but there may be additional fees. In such cases, contact the third party first to discuss your options.
