Turkcell Tariff Renewal Price Jumps 75%
For many years I have been using a Turkcell mobile line, and almost every year I face the same problem during tariff renewal. My current bill is around ₺200, but this year the lowest offer presented to me in the Turkcell application and by customer service is approximately ₺350, which means about a 75% increase. I find this increase far above a reasonable inflation-based adjustment and not acceptable. When I contacted Turkcell customer service about this situation, I was told that these prices are determined according to inflation and company decisions and that there is nothing they can do. No more reasonable or intermediate tariff close to my current fee was offered, and my expectation for a fair, inflation-level price adjustment was not taken into account. I request that my line be moved to a more reasonable tariff with an increase at most in line with inflation, that I be offered fair campaign options without being forced into excessive price increases every year, and that this year’s excessive increase policy be reviewed and corrected. I kindly ask for my complaint to be examined and a detailed, written response to be provided.

Dear Turkcell company, this is not the answer you gave me. When inflation in our country is 33% annually, you cannot raise your tariffs by 75%. You are engaging in outrageous and unfair practices; what does this mean? It means we do not listen to the state or government, we are opportunists, or that the state does not sufficiently supervise you, or that you are a company that preys on a citizen who says we will set whatever price we want. Let everyone see from here that Turkcell is making an unjust price increase.
