In December 2022, Turkcell Corporate sent a field team to renew our contracts, promising X reductions if we subscribed to ten lines, each with its own quota. Despite our lack of necessity, they persuaded us and agreed to a payment of roughly ₺900. However, in January 2023, we received a bill for almost ₺2000, saying it was an error. After much back and forth, they admitted the error but only offered a reduction if we paid the whole amount. We reluctantly paid, but instead of ₺900, we were charged almost ₺1300 every month for a year.
Our contracts were set to expire in December 2023, and we were asked if we wanted to renew them. We decided to cancel all lines other than the three we were actively using. Despite efforts to terminate the lines, a bill of more than ₺3500 was issued, alleging the commitment date was after termination. We insisted on analyzing phone recordings, which showed that our pledge had nothing to do with the discount termination. They claimed that disconnecting the lines stopped the discount. It felt like a comedy of blunders.
To finish the agony, we paid the ₺3500+ payment on March 24, 2024. On March 25, 2024, we received an SMS threatening legal action for an outstanding balance of ₺99.98. This has been nothing less than a nightmare. We're left wondering who to turn to for assistance in such a perplexing scenario.
