2026 Toyota Corolla Rearview Camera Quality Worse Than Older Models
I purchased my brand-new 2026 Toyota Corolla 1.8 Hybrid Flame X-Pack from Bursa Toyota Çavdarlı Plaza. From the moment I took delivery of the vehicle, I noticed that the rearview camera image quality was very poor. I previously owned a 2021 Corolla, and the rearview camera quality in that vehicle was perfectly fine. The difference in camera quality in this new vehicle is extremely significant.
I took my car to an authorized service center, and the staff there also acknowledged that the image quality is poor. However, they stated that Toyota considers this “normal” and therefore they cannot open a service record for it. In my conversations with Toyota Turkey, I received no response other than “there is no fault, nothing can be done.” I do not find it acceptable for a brand-new vehicle—especially in such an important safety feature—to have such low quality.
I request that the rearview camera be improved either through software or hardware, and at the very least brought up to the level of previous Corolla models. I expect Toyota to acknowledge and resolve this quality issue and to address the concerns of customers like myself who are experiencing the same problem.
