Suno Free Plan Tracks Cannot Be Monetized After Upgrading to a Paid Subscription
I am a Suno user and recently discovered a restriction that I find both confusing and unfair. I created a track on the free version of Suno and then upgraded to a subscription with the expectation that I could use the same music and distribute it to other platforms in order to earn income. However, I learned that tracks created as free uploads cannot be used on the subscription for monetization, even if they are my own songs with the same audio and beats. When I looked into it, I found information online stating that free uploads cannot be sent out through the subscription for paid distribution. At the same time, I am allowed to recreate essentially the same song as a new track under the subscription and then monetize that version. This situation feels illogical, because it is still my creative work and my music, and the only difference is whether it was first generated under a free tier or a paid one. My expectation from Suno is that tracks I created on the free version should be allowed to be monetized once I become a paying subscriber, without forcing me to recreate the same song from scratch. I kindly request that this rule be reconsidered or at least clearly explained and adjusted so that users like me can monetize their own music regardless of whether it was first made on the free plan or the subscription.
