Skoda Roadside Assistance Hotline Hangs Up on Customer Mid-Complaint

June 26 5:39 PM

On June 25, 2026, since my Skoda Kodiaq's battery had died, I called the 444 77 80 line to get roadside assistance. I had to call this number 7–8 times, and it was only after that many calls that I was able to fully explain my situation. Recordings of all these calls exist in their systems. I purchased my vehicle in November 2025 from Çağ Otomotiv in Antalya, and even though my vehicle's warranty is still active, I believe my warranty rights have been disregarded throughout this process.
Even though I bought the vehicle from Çağ Otomotiv, instead of dispatching a team from there for roadside assistance, they sent roadside help from Otomol service instead. The person who arrived didn't initially mention that he worked with Otomol and gave me no information about this. He checked the vehicle's battery and said it was completely dead and needed to be replaced. During this process, I also called Çağ Otomotiv — those calls are recorded too — and I was told to call 444 77 80 and request roadside assistance.
Afterward, the person who came for roadside assistance said I would need to come to central Antalya for the battery replacement, and that it could be done at Otomol. Since business hours had ended, I said I would come on Friday, June 26, 2026. On Friday afternoon, I set out and first went to Çağ Otomotiv around 3:00 PM, but I learned that the person who had come for roadside assistance didn't actually work there. When I was then told this person worked at Otomol, I went over to the Otomol service center.
At Otomol, I was told the vehicle would need to stay at the service center for three days, and that if I brought it in on Friday, it would sit there like that because Sunday was an official holiday. Despite this, I tried to be understanding, because I know a battery replacement is a job that takes at most 10 minutes. Even so, the battery wasn't processed under warranty, and I received no help on this matter. In addition, one of the staff on the 444 77 80 line hung up on me mid-call. I cannot accept experiencing this kind of grievance with a vehicle I paid roughly $85,745 for back in November, nor being worn down like this over a warranty process.
I have now been without my vehicle and in this difficult situation for about 5 days. I am requesting that the battery be replaced free of charge and without delay under warranty, that I be given an explanation for the communication problems I experienced during the roadside assistance and service process, and that the brand compensate me for the grievance I've suffered throughout this process. I would like to note that I will pursue legal action if necessary.
