Skoda Ignored the Noise Issue in My 2024 Karoq and Failed to Fix It Properly
I am writing to summarize my frustrating experience with and Skoda service regarding a mechanical issue (a recurring noise) in my Skoda Karoq, registered in January 2024. I am filing this complaint as a dissatisfied customer. Service Visit 1 Me: There is a noise coming from the car's suspension system. Service: Yes, we hear it too — it could be the wheel hub bearing. It might be due to winter tires. Try replacing them. Service Visit 2 Me: I’ve replaced the tires, but the noise is still there. Service: We don't hear any noise. (A different mechanic checked this time.) Service Visit 3 Me: The noise is still present and getting worse. Service: Yes, we hear it now — but it's not covered under warranty. Service Visit 4 (I mentioned the warranty issue in a customer satisfaction survey. A manager called me afterward and insisted I bring the vehicle in again.) Me: Here’s the situation. Can you please help? Service: Another steering specialist checked it — no noise detected. Warranty Manager: No, there IS a noise. How can you not hear it? Eventually, the left front wheel hub was replaced. However, the service report only says “hub” — it doesn’t state that it was replaced. I was not given the old part either. They told me the car was ready for pickup. After retrieving my vehicle, the noise is still there — nothing has changed. Either the wrong part was replaced, or it wasn’t replaced at all, even though they claimed it was. In summary, after several weeks of back and forth and considerable frustration, I am still at square one — the issue remains unresolved, and I’ve been left feeling dismissed and mistreated throughout the entire process. My sincere advice: Please find a service provider other than and Skoda.
