If ShortsWave billed you unexpectedly this month,
• First, check why you were charged;
– Most subscriptions auto-renew by default unless canceled before the billing date
– Charges usually happen 24 hours before renewal
– If you didn’t cancel in time, the system renews automatically
• Cancel immediately to stop future billing;
– iPhone → Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Cancel
– Android → Google Play → Payments & Subscriptions → Cancel
– Canceling now stops the next charge, not the current one
• Request a refund;
– Apple → reportaproblem.apple.com (official refund request)
– Google Play → Order history → Request refund
– Direct payment → contact ShortsWave support
• Write to support;
– “I was charged without my intention this month. I request a refund and confirmation that my subscription is canceled.”
– Attach:
– Payment receipt
– Screenshot of subscription status
• Act quickly;
– Refund chances are higher if you request within 24–48 hours of the charge
• If refund is denied;
– Contact your bank
– Dispute the charge as unauthorized or unintended renewal
