Sebamed Anti-Hair Loss Shampoo Caused Burning and Rash on My 13-Year-Old Daughter
I bought the Sebamed Anti-Hair Loss Shampoo for my 13-year-old daughter from Migros on June 2. She was excited to use it and immediately went to wash her hair. However, shortly after applying it, she shouted from the shower, “Mom, my face is burning!” I rushed in to help and quickly realized that the shampoo had caused an allergic reaction.
I told her to rinse it off and get out right away. By then, she had developed visible redness and irritation on her face and the back of her neck. I was completely shocked and heartbroken to see her in pain from a product I trusted would be safe—especially from a brand like Sebamed.
This product should never cause such a severe reaction, especially in a child. I’m deeply disappointed and concerned. I urge Sebamed to investigate the ingredients and potential allergens in this shampoo and provide an explanation. I also request that you issue a formal apology and take action to prevent this from happening to anyone else’s child. Please take this matter seriously.
Progress
I bought Sebamed shampoo for hair loss from the Mion store. I had previously filed a complaint but received no response. My 13-year-old daughter washed with the product I bought and had an allergic reaction; she screamed that her face was burning. We rushed to the bathroom, rinsed thoroughly, and removed it, but it left her skin tight and red patches appeared. We tried again a few weeks later, and the result was the same. I am very upset with this brand we trusted so much; we can't understand what happened. We are sad, we got hurt, and we lost money.
I mistakenly wrote that the Sebamed shampoo I bought from Mion was from Migros; I want to correct that so there’s no misunderstanding. While my daughter was screaming 'I'm burning,' we were so scared and panicked that we didn't even think to take a photo. We just rinsed her thoroughly and got her out. Then the holiday came in between, and afterwards, we had to file a complaint because we were afraid to use the shampoo again.
