Riot Support Failed to Recover My Valorant Account After Phishing Hack

On January 13, 2025, I received a notification that the email address linked to my Riot Games account had been changed, and later that same day around 7:30 PM I noticed unauthorized access to my account. I unintentionally gave access to my Valorant account by entering my login information on a fake site that looked very much like Riot Games, and after this incident I effectively lost control of all my games and the account.

Although the Riot Games username on my account was not changed, the email address on the account was changed. The new email appears to be a Gmail address starting with “coc…,” whereas since the account was first created it was registered with my hotmail address (u********@hotmail.com). I can’t state exactly how long I’ve owned the account in terms of years, but I’ve used it for a long time and I play actively, especially in Valorant. I have in-game content and investments on this account worth close to $320 or possibly more — and this is definitely not “small” to me.

After the incident, I opened a ticket with Riot Support and communicated many times via email. I also provided screenshots of my Valorant in-game purchases showing my old username as proof of ownership. Nevertheless, each time I was told “my account could not be verified,” and no clear solution was offered. Currently, I can neither log into my account nor access the in-game content I’ve collected over the years.

I request that Riot Games conduct a thorough review of the suspicious email change and unauthorized access, restore my account to me based on the evidence I submitted, and urgently reinstate my access so that I can continue playing Valorant and all my other games from where I left off.
