Vestel Refuses Free Repair for Manufacturing Defect in Three-Year-Old Refrigerator
My Vestel refrigerator is only three years old, yet it has failed to cool for about two months. When service technicians inspected it, they acknowledged that the fault was a manufacturing defect, but stated they could only offer a replacement for a fee. Despite us waiting for days, no action was taken initially, and the repair they later claimed to perform failed to solve the issue—the refrigerator still does not cool properly.
My 90-year-old parents use this refrigerator. During the summer heat, our food has been spoiling for months, making it impossible to keep healthy food at home and forcing us to give spoiled meals to stray animals. Throughout this process, we have reached out to both customer support and the company, but no permanent solution has been provided, and our hardship continues.
After this experience, I will never recommend Vestel or its sister brand, Regal. I demand that Vestel stand behind its product, take our hardship into account, and permanently resolve the issue with our refrigerator free of charge or replace the unit if necessary.
