PhonePe shows ‘server error’ though internet is fine — how can I complete my payment?

If PhonePe shows a “server error” even though your internet works, the issue is usually on PhonePe’s or your bank’s side.

Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then force-close and reopen the app to trigger a fresh server connection.

If the error persists, clear the app cache (Android) or reinstall PhonePe, which often fixes corrupted session files. Many global users also report that payments go through after waiting a few minutes and retrying during non-peak hours.

Before trying again, confirm your bank’s UPI services are not down by checking your bank app or a UPI status page.

If the payment still fails, file a complaint on Xolvie to seek a resolution.
