I recently discovered that a company called Opodo Travel and Holidays (Opodo Australia), which I had never heard of or used before, has been charging my Commonwealth Bank card without my authorisation. Since 29 August, an amount of AUD 10.99 has been taken from my account once a month. I have never created an account with Opodo, never booked any travel or holidays with them, and have not knowingly given them my card details at any time. I have tried to find a way to contact Opodo to resolve this, but I have not been able to reach them or find an effective communication channel. I request that any membership or subscription that has been opened in my name or linked to my card without my clear consent be immediately cancelled, that all unauthorised monthly payments of AUD 10.99 be fully refunded, and that any future charges to my Commonwealth Bank card from Opodo be permanently blocked. I also ask for written confirmation once this has been done.
