WhatsApp Suspended My Account for an Incorrect Age Violation
At around 12:32 a.m. on September 29, 2026, my WhatsApp account was suspended even though I had not engaged in any insults, profanity, or inappropriate behavior. I received a notification stating, “This account violates WhatsApp’s age requirement.” Despite being 45 years old, the system incorrectly treated me as though I had violated the age requirement and imposed a 180-day penalty. As a result, not only my WhatsApp account but also my Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended.
I was using Instagram’s family supervision and account management features to monitor my daughter’s account, in particular. Because of this error, my daughter’s and my wife’s accounts were also affected, causing serious disruption to our family. My daughter’s teachers send her homework through WhatsApp, and she submits her assignments there as well. Since our accounts have been suspended, my daughter is currently unable to submit her assignments on time and may therefore receive lower grades in her classes.
I request that Meta and WhatsApp urgently investigate this situation and immediately restore the WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook accounts associated with the phone number +90 541 *** ** 94. I am 45 years old and have not violated any age requirement. I request that the unjustified 180-day penalty be removed and that the disruption and inconvenience caused to my family be resolved as soon as possible. I expect Meta and WhatsApp to respond to me urgently.
