Approximately 8-9 years ago, a friend quit League of Legends and gave me their account. I was drawn to it because it had a large number of skins and champions. Since they stopped playing, I naturally took over all the account details, including the email and password, putting them under my name. Last month, my account was hacked and stolen! The person who took over changed the email and password, and I haven't been able to access my account for a month now.
I contacted Riot support, explaining the situation. They responded in writing, saying the account is currently secure and I can get it back if I prove ownership. The problem is, the original owner, my friend, doesn't remember the email details they used to register the account years ago. So much time has passed (8-9 years, maybe more). Even though I've played on this account all this time and answered every question they've posed, they won't accept my proof because the initial email wasn't in my name, and I can't recover my account.
I never expected such a response. This situation is completely illogical and unacceptable. Years of effort and investment have gone into that account, and I demand access to what is rightfully mine. Riot Games, you need to find a way to restore my League of Legends account! Your recovery process is flawed, and you are failing a loyal player.
