League of Legends AFK Penalty Caused by a Graphics Error
I play League of Legends on the Turkey server under the username labdardab#4360. Yesterday, between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., I received an unfair penalty because of a technical issue that was completely outside of my control. After champion select, when the game transitioned to the loading screen, I repeatedly received a "Graphics device could not be initialized" error. Because the loading screen never opened, I was unable to connect to the match at all. As a result, the system marked me as AFK in two consecutive games and issued a 10-game penalty.
Since this was caused by a technical problem rather than intentional behavior, I submitted a support ticket to Riot Games. A Rioter named Venus reviewed my case and removed five games from the penalty, acknowledging the situation to some extent. However, the remaining five-game penalty was left in place. I replied to the ticket several times, explaining the issue in more detail, but I never received any further response. Because of that, I was forced to complete the remaining penalty by playing additional games even though I believe it was unjustified.
I do not believe it is fair to be penalized for an AFK caused entirely by a technical error that prevented the game from launching properly. This situation resulted in lost time, a negative gameplay experience, and the feeling that my concerns were not fully addressed. I respectfully request that Riot Games review the remaining portion of the penalty, acknowledge that it resulted from a technical issue, and consider an appropriate gesture to restore my account standing and player reputation. I also ask that the "Graphics device could not be initialized" error be investigated so that it does not continue to affect me or other players in the future.
